Filmmaker Mike McCarthy’s 1995 low-budget feature was created as a search for his father (he had never met his biological parents), his growing obsession with Elvis Presley (McCarthy also grew up in Tupelo reading “Captain Marvel, Jr.”  comic books,) and vintage burlesque movies from the past to tell the story of his own conception. Set in 1962 Tupelo, McCarthy takes newly pregnant waitress (D’Lana Tunnell) and her washed up rockabilly boyfriend (Hugh B. Brooks) and pits them against girl gangs, ghosts in the woods, and an original, unearthly, rock and roll score by Memphis band Impala.

50 GB, Dual layer Blu-ray disc with new high-def film scan of the Super 8 film by Wheat with a 16:9 to 4:3 aspect ratio.
